Interior, exterior, prep, feature walls, quotes by the square metre in minutes, not evenings. Agentize drafts them from your rates, sends them in your name and chases the money.
“Quote to paint three bedrooms two coats, the hallway ceiling and prep and paint the front door.”
The Quoter writes
a tidy, itemised quote by the square metre, GST handled, ready to approve.
THE JOBS IT WRITES UP.
Start from a ready-made painter rate card, the lines you quote every week, then tweak the numbers to yours. The Quoter only ever prices from what you’ve saved, so it never makes one up.
Work out wall and ceiling area by room, price the coats separately from the prep, and list any feature or specialist finishes on their own. Two coats over sound paint and two coats over patched, sanded and sealed plaster are completely different jobs at the same square metreage.
How do I price prep work properly?
As its own line, by the hour or by the room, never folded into the coat rate. Prep is where painting quotes are won and lost: it's the biggest variable, the least visible to the customer, and the first thing that gets squeezed when you're trying to be competitive. Put it on the page so it's a conversation, not a silent discount.
What should a painting quote include?
Rooms and surfaces covered, number of coats, paint brand and finish, the prep included, what's excluded (major patching, repairs, wallpaper removal), whether furniture moving is yours or theirs, GST separately, and your terms.
One monthly price, a pot of tokens, and every job the crew does spends a few — a quote is 25, a text is 5. You can see what’s left before you ask for anything, and nothing is charged on top.
