How the Agentize Directory ranks
Every list is ranked by proven rating: a business's Google rating weighted by the reviews behind it, so a perfect score from five reviews cannot outrank a near-perfect one from five hundred.
Proven rating
A 5.0 from five reviews and a 4.8 from three hundred are not the same evidence. Five happy customers can be a business's friends and family; three hundred cannot. So the Agentize Directory does not rank by the Google average alone.
Every business starts at 4.0 and moves toward its own Google average as its reviews come in. The proven rating is the average of the business's reviews and 20 imaginary reviews of 4.0: (rating × reviews + 4.0 × 20) ÷ (reviews + 20). At 20 reviews a business is halfway from 4.0 to its own average; at 180 it is nine tenths of the way there.
| Google rating | Reviews | Proven rating |
|---|---|---|
| 5.0 | 5 | 4.20 |
| 5.0 | 20 | 4.50 |
| 4.9 | 100 | 4.75 |
| 4.8 | 300 | 4.75 |
| 4.6 | 1,000 | 4.59 |
Lists are ordered by proven rating, highest first. Where two are equal, the business with more reviews goes first. The proven rating is printed beside every business, so the order can be checked by hand. A suburb list keeps the order of its city's list; a state list merges its cities' lists by the same number.
What is listed
A business is listed when its Google listing has a rating from at least 5 reviews, is not marked closed, and can be placed in a city or town from its own address or map position. A business that has asked not to be listed is left out, and so is any copy of its listing. A city list is published when it holds at least 3 businesses, and a suburb list when it holds at least 5.
Where the figures come from
Ratings and review counts are Google's, as read in October 2026. Phone numbers, websites and opening hours are the ones each business lists on Google. Nothing is paid for: no business can buy a place or pay to move up, and no business is verified or endorsed by Agentize.
Who runs it
The Agentize Directory is published by Agentize, which builds a crew of AI helpers for Australian tradies and small businesses: they write the quotes, book the work, send the invoices and chase what's owed. Being listed has nothing to do with being a customer, and customers get no better place.
Removals, and problems with a listing
A business's details here come from its Google Business Profile, so the place to change them is the profile itself; the next update picks the change up. To have a listing removed, or to report a problem with one, use the form at the foot of the business's own page. A removal is checked with the business first, and a confirmed one takes the listing off every page of the directory.

Agentize gives tradies a little crew of AI helpers. Say the job into your phone and the Quoter writes an itemised, GST-sorted quote from your own rate card. Then the crew books it in, sends the invoice and chases the money, all in your business's name.

- Invoices sent, late payers chased
